The preserve itself is a little hard to find and not well marked - you go 0.6 miles through a pleasant residential neighborhood to get there. The location is actually in Munson, Ohio (not PA), a few minutes outside of Chardon and about 30 miles east of Cleveland.

There are volleyball courts and playground type things for the youngest. Paddleboats are also included, but it was too hot to use. They do have a concession stand with burgers, pizza, fries, ice cream etc. They have picnic tables under trees, but again you have to get there early to get the shaded tables. Three large waterslides areĪlso popular with the younger set.You can bring in food and there is a large community grill to share. They also opened up more of the pool, with large floating pads you can attempt to walk across. There are plastic lounge chairs available for free, but you have to get there early to get one. Really ? Tubes were then allowed in the pool. Get a nicer lounge chair and your own tube for the day. However, there was a lot of bug and dirt. Seems a bit dangerous ? Anyway relaxing in the tube on a hot, hot day was really nice. It used to be that everyone had to be in a tube.Isn't that what it should be. It now seems acceptable to walk the lazy river. The lazy river was definitely understaffed.
